Biography

Dr. Joy Touchstone is originally from Austin, Texas. She holds a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her residencies in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, TN. Prior to returning to start her medical practice in the North Dallas area, she worked in a Pediatric ER and as a hospitalist for an Oncology group in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Touchstone has a strong interest in medical missions and has had the opportunity to serve in many countries including Haiti, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. Dr. Touchstone is also very committed to an approach to health care that involves a balance of traditional and more lifestyle-centric approaches to healthcare. She loves kids, animals, and has known since age 8 that medicine was her calling, not just a career.
